Smoke is conventionally created by burning wood with an open flame, however, smoke can also be created by a safer, more controllable smouldering process, called pyrolysis. Pyrolysis generates a consistent smoke that can be condensed and captured in water.
This cooled, liquid state of wood smoke is referred to as ‘smoke condensate’. The smoke condensate is then regenerated through atomized to form a smoke cloud. Only the flavourful and functional portions of smoke are present; Tars, Fly-Ash and PAH’s are greatly reduced.
