Speaker: Mr. Michael Crowley, R&D Director Excipients, Kerry

Michael Crowley is the Process Technology Director at Kerry, which is headquartered in Beloit, WI. He is responsible for the product development and applications of excipients for Kerry. He has extensive experience presenting globally on various topics, including Direct Tableting, Wet Granulation, Dry Powder Inhalation, Tablet Lubrication, and QbD for Excipients. During his 22 years with Kerry, Michael has also held the roles in Quality Assurance, Validation, and R&D for Protein Cell Nutrition.
Michael received his Bachelors Degree in Chemistry from St. Bonaventure University.
Speaker: Mr. Aurélien Neveu, Particle Scientist, Granutools

Dr. Aurelien Neveu research activities mainly focus on the understanding of granular materials and powders at different scales. During his PhD he has developed discrete numerical models to describe fragmentation mechanics of cohesive granular materials by taking into account the complex micro-properties of the grains. He then moved to a larger scale to study segregation in gravity-driven rapid flows as well as aeolian transport of granular materials, with huge implications on natural disasters. He is now working as a particle scientist at Granutools, performing research on powder characterization.
